A day learning about rural environmental sustainability issues

Thirty people from the Diocese of Oxford spent a day thinking about environmental issues. In the morning they visited a farm in Haddenham growing miscanthus and willow for biomass; the farmer had even planted some solar panels in the field!  During a splendid local lunch there was a presentation about Transition Haddenham and the diocesan Food Matters project.  In the afternoon before visiting Kingsey Church, the group also visited St Mary's Church of England school which was recently  awarded the green flag ecoschool status.
