The special 90th birthday ORCC
Annual General Meeting and Conference
 is being held on

Friday 8 October 2010
at The Oxford Centre, 333 Banbury Road, Oxford OX2 7PL
from 11.30-  - 3.30 pm.

'Rural Community

Thriving assets or expensive liabilities?'

This is a debate that lies at the heart of so many decisions about rural policies and services.  How do political decision-makers view rural communities?  What is their rationale? The more that the issue of long term sustainability rises up the agenda, the more pressing this question becomes.

There will be a superb range of speakers who will bring differing perspectives to the debate The keynote speakers include:

  • Catherine Bearder, MEP and Patron of ORCC,
  • Sylvia Brown OBE, Chief Executive , ACRE
  •  Dame Helen Ghosh, Permanent Secretary, Defra

While attendance at the formal AGM is free of charge to members (including representatives of member organisations), please note that only one representative per membership can be  accommodated free of charge at the lunch/conference. Places at the event will be limited, so  we advise you to book early. If you would like to book your place you must complete and  return the booking form with payment (if applicable) by post only.
