COULD YOUR ORGANISATION HOST
THE TRAINING OF COMMUNITY ORGANISERS?

Locality is looking for organisations to recuit and support trainee community organisers.

To be a host organisation you must care deeply about your community, be locally rooted and inspired by the potential of community organising. 100-200 hosts across England will be recruited between 2011 and 2014 in tranches of 10, with the last tranche joining in September 2014.

Each host will recruit between two and five community organisers from their local community

Hosts must be locally controlled and independent but you can be a community, voluntary, educational or private sector organisation.

[Community Organisers  help residents, groups, associations, and businesses  to develop their collective power to act together for the common good, through using ‘Root Solution Listening Matters’, a dialogue and action-based programme that supports transformational change in individuals, groups, organisations and institutions]
