Please keep the ARC and its work to sustain rural life and faith

in your thoughts and prayers this Spring, in particular:

ARC Sunday 26th June 2011 is a day in the year when we lead the Christian community in sharing and praying for everyone who lives, works and worships in the countryside. Ahead of this year’s event please think about what you can offer in prayer, in action, or as a gift to support us in this.

Rural Officers and Agricultural Chaplains around the country, and particularly in Wales; give thanks for them and pray for skill and wisdom in difficult situations, and for continuing funding for these important posts.

Anyone experiencing distress or stress in the countryside. The numbers who contact Rural Stress Helpline are increasing; pray that more people who need to will find the help they need.

Care Farming: give thanks as the movement continues to grow and develop into new areas, such as support for ex-service personnel.

Country Way: pray that people will continue to turn to this publication to share, celebrate and learn from good news from rural churches, communities and the countryside.

Pray for those entering rural ministry for the first time, and for all those joining us at ARC on training courses and workshops through the year; give thanks for their wonderful achievements, growth and success.

Give thanks for the work of the International Rural Churches Association (IRCA) and for the newly established IRCA Europe as it seeks to encourage the work of churches in rural communities across the European region.

Thanks to God for the faith and commitment of all our supporters, ARC trustees, grant-making trusts, congregations, companies and individuals who continue to donate to the ARC in these financially challenging times.
